Edmondson Law PC:  Corona Virus updates

Up to Date Information

We are updating our Facebook Page and Blythe’s Blog on our Website with any and all New Information we receive as it relates to the Pima Court System and Ongoing cases as well as resources for our clients and their tenants.

Evictions

As of the writing of this newsletter, Pima County is still processing evictions for properties held by private landlords.  There is discussion in the community requesting that evictions be limited.  We recommend continuing with any eviction due to criminal activity or serious non-compliance issues in order to protect management and neighboring residents.  We suggest processing other evictions at your discretion.  Please contact our office if you would like to discuss the options and details with any particular eviction.

Collection Cases

There may be a delay in receiving any ongoing garnishment payments due to the closure of many businesses.  The courts currently remain open regarding civil matters.  They are implementing alternative procedures for hearings including telephonic and video hearings.  Some hearings are being postponed.  Things are being handled on a case by case basis.  If you have any questions on your particular case please contact our office.  As of the writing of this newsletter, we are able to continue attending hearings and filing necessary documents with the courts.

Other Services

With the COVID 19 pandemic, we are aware that some of our clients may be in need of a Health Care Power of Attorney, Medical Directive and possibly a Will.   We are currently providing these services at a reduced rate to anyone in need.  Health Care Power of Attorney and Medical Directive can be prepared and provided for $75 each.  A simple will can be provided for $200.  Please contact our office with any questions on these services.

Office Hours and Meetings

Our office is currently open.  We are requesting that people schedule appointments and try not to “drop by.”  We have the capability to arrange meetings via telephone and video conferencing and are happy to do so for any interested individuals.  We anticipate we will be working from home soon and our physical office will be closed.  We will remain open on-line and by phone and will always have access to all files and our ability to meet telephonically or through video conferencing.
